Song: Just Like That

FAWM 2019

Album: FAWM 2019
Track: #12

And just like that, there go my thirties Seems pretty fitting even this song was hurried I don't wish much was different I'll just never get where all that time went And there's that much less left And the noise I've made so far was mostly silent And just like that, there go my thirties No I'm not presumptuous enough to be worried I don't wish much was different I'm just not sure if I got value for what I spent And no matter what what I've done has meant I'll always be young enough to never be content And just like that, there go my thirties Yet another 40-year-old who got there way too early I don't wish much was different I just wish any of it made any kind of sense It's not something that I resent And I'm sure you're thinking I ain't seen nothing yet And just like that, there go my thirties I should feel more achieved this far into the journey I don't think it's some kind of unique controversy I just want to not be judged for feeling this unworthy And just like that, there go my thirties And just like that, there go my thirties Just like that

This one's pretty self explanatory. From an honesty standpoint, it's a very good song, but I carry no delusion that this is a "good song." This is a tired Tuesday and a foreboding birthday conspiring to force something out.

As always, I appreciate the support and likes and feedback, and hopefully I will return to the regularly scheduled, rested Jeremy tomorrow. :)
